Louisville, Kentucky · Myofunctional Therapy
Holistic myofunctional therapy
for children & adults.
Breathing, sleep, posture, and oral development — treated at the root. Calm, evidence-based care from Gina Sabbak, RDH, in the heart of St. Matthews.
For families
Three signs you — or your child — may benefit.
Small habits that compound into bigger problems. None of these are "just how we are."
Mouth breathing
Lips apart at rest. Dry mouth on waking. Snoring or noisy sleep. Often linked to tongue posture, allergies, and disrupted sleep quality.
Tongue-tie
A tight frenum restricts tongue mobility — and therefore speech, swallowing, breathing, and airway development.
Snoring & restless sleep
Snoring in children is never normal. In adults, it's the loudest sign of disordered breathing during sleep.
What we treat
Conditions we work with.
Twelve conditions rooted in the same idea: the muscles of the mouth, face, and airway shape the rest of the body.
What we do
Eight core services.
Each begins with a comprehensive evaluation. Each is personalized. Each addresses a real function.
Our process
A clear, honest process.
No mystery, no upsell. Here's exactly what working with us looks like — start to finish.
-
01
Evaluate
60-minute assessment. Posture, swallow pattern, tongue mobility, breathing, range of motion, and history.
-
02
Plan
A written plan that names what's happening, what we'll do about it, and how we'll measure progress.
-
03
Train
Short, daily exercises done at home. Sessions every 2–4 weeks. Most programs run 4–9 months.
-
04
Maintain
Habits hold the gains. We taper visits, keep the plan visible, and stay available.
Gina Sabbak, RDH
A dental hygienist who treats the whole person.
Gina's clinical career spans dental hygiene, orofacial myology, and airway-centered care. She built 502 MYO around a single idea: that the muscles of the mouth, face, and airway shape breathing, sleep, posture, speech, and development — and that they can be retrained.
Every plan is written by Gina. Every session is with Gina. There is no handoff.
Collaboration
502 MYO loves collaboration.
We work alongside dentists, ENTs, orthodontists, SLPs, sleep physicians, and bodyworkers. If you refer, we keep you in the loop.
- Coordinates with your patient's orthodontist and pediatric dentist.
