The oral cavity — where myofunctional therapy begins

Field Note 01

After the assessment.

Signs you may benefit

Small things can be early signals.

Mouth breathing at night, snoring, a tongue that doesn't reach the roof of the mouth — these aren't quirks. They're the body's quiet compensation for something that hasn't been supported yet.

Mouth-breathing at night

Mouth breathing

If your child breathes through their mouth most of the day — or you do at night — the jaw, palate, and airway are quietly shaping around it.

Tongue-tie — restricted lingual frenulum

Tongue-tie

A restricted lingual frenulum can affect feeding, speech, sleep, and jaw development from infancy through adulthood.

Sleep-disordered breathing

Snoring & restless sleep

Snoring in kids isn't normal. In adults, it often points to the same underlying airway and tongue posture patterns.

Eight core services

Care that follows you.

From the first evaluation to long-term maintenance, every service at 502 MYO is designed to build on the last — and on the work of your other providers.

How it works

A clear, honest process.

We don't do 30-minute sales pitches. We evaluate thoroughly, plan with you, train with discipline, and stay with you for the long arc of real change.

01

Evaluate

A 60-minute assessment of posture, tongue, swallow, breathing, and airway. You leave with a clear picture of what's going on.

02

Plan

Custom program designed around your goals, your schedule, and what your other providers have already started.

03

Train

Short, daily exercises — never overwhelming. We meet regularly to refine form and progress.

04

Maintain

Habits, follow-ups, and adjustments for the long term. Myofunctional change is permanent when supported.

Meet Gina

A dental hygienist who treats
the whole person.

Gina Sabbak, RDH has spent more than a decade inside the mouth — and outside it. She built 502 MYO because too many patients were being told their symptoms were "just how it is." They aren't.

Gina works with children, adults, and entire families. She coordinates with ENTs, dentists, orthodontists, bodyworkers, and speech-language pathologists across Louisville and beyond.

For providers

We work alongside your team.

502 MYO is built to complement — not replace — the work of ENTs, dentists, orthodontists, speech-language pathologists, bodyworkers, and pediatricians. Here's what to expect.

Direct communication with your patient's care team, with consent
Pre- and post-frenectomy support for tongue-tie releases
Coordination with orthodontists on expansion and bite changes
Sleep-disordered breathing referrals back to ENTs
Speech-language pathologist collaboration on oral-motor goals
Clear progress reports at every milestone

Ready to begin

Book an evaluation.

One 60-minute evaluation will tell us more than months of Googling. We're accepting new patients of every age — children, teens, adults, and the families that come with them.
